Pet's Story or Bio
Mara Ann was adopted in February 2023 after her previous owners broke her jaw and tied her up outside the Tacoma humane society. I adopted Mara after retiring from 24 years of law enforcement and needed help with my PTSD. Adopting Mara has helped us both gain trust and love in each other. Mara goes with me everywhere and enjoys playing with my parents 7 month old boxer Molly.
I can truly say Mara has helped me with my depression, anxiety, isolation, and PTSD. She is a very special dog who I love very much!
