Contest Entry

To submit your pet's photo, a minimum $25 donation is required.
Entries must be submitted online. You may submit as many entries as you like.
Photo categories are limited to dogs and cats.
Once entered, all photos become the property of the Humane Society for Tacoma & Pierce County and can be used, edited, or modified for print or marketing purposes.
Any photo or caption deemed inappropriate as determined by the staff of HSTPC will be removed from the photo contest.
Your pet does not have to be adopted from HSTPC to be eligible to enter this contest.

Photo Requirements

Photos should be in focus and of high quality, in either .jpg or .png format.
Photo must feature one pet only.
Photos must contain only pets – no humans.
We cannot accept photos with digital overlays, photo stickers, doodles or any digital effects.
If photos include pets not owned by the person entering the photo, the entrant must receive written permission from the pet's owner for usage in the contest.

Contest Voting

Each entry is $25.
Every $1 donation counts as one vote (minimum of five votes, or $5).
Due to processing costs, a minimum $5 donation is required
Votes are unlimited.
All donations from voting and entries are non-refundable.
Voting can be done online or by calling 253-284-5814. Votes over the phone must be received by noon on September 22. After noon on September 22, only online voting will be allowed.
Voting in person at our shelter will not be allowed.

Contest Deadlines

The submission and voting periods begin at 9:00:00 AM (Pacific Time) on Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2023.
The submission and voting periods end at 12:00:00 PM (Pacific Time) on Monday, Sept. 25, 2023.
Contest winners will be contacted by Sept. 26, 2023 with information on their prizes.
First-place winners must be available to bring their pet to our shelter (2608 Center St. Tacoma, WA) between September 26 – September 29 to have their photo taken for the beer label. This will ensure a high-quality image for the beer label graphic.
- If a contest winner fails to respond by Sept. 29, 2023, HSTPC may select a replacement winner from the next non-winning, eligible top vote-getter.
The winners will be invited to the beer label release party at E9 Brewing Co. scheduled for Oct. 15, 2023
