Distinguished Dog
Pet's Story or BioYoda (now Mister Burns) wound up in a kill shelter after his homeless moms car caught fire and miraculously he was able to escape through a tiny crack in a window. Sadly his fur-sibling perished and Mister burns escaped with burns to his entire body and severe smoke inhalation. After recovering in the ER he ended up the local kill shelter and was going to pts due to his appearance and lack of space.
Luckily for us both, Cecily (behaviorist at the time at the Tacoma Humane Society) was there pulling dogs to bring back to the (tacoma) shelter and she immediately snagged him up!
Upon arriving back at the shelter she asked if it'd foster him while he finished healing (still had scabbing from the burns)
I had been mourning the loss of my dog and because of that I was a little hesitant to say yes but the second I saw him I agreed to a short term foster.
Haha, I knew that first night he was my soul dog and we belonged together. I adopted him in June of 2017 and he is so loved and spoiled ❤
