Contest Entry

To submit your pet's photo, a minimum $20 donation is required.
Entries must be submitted online. You may submit as many entries as you like.
Once entered, all photos become the property of the Humane Society for Tacoma & Pierce County (HSPTC) and can be used, edited, or modified for print or marketing purposes.
Any photo or caption deemed inappropriate as determined by the staff of HSTPC will be removed from the photo contest.
Your pet does not have to be adopted from HSTPC to be eligible to enter this contest.

Photo Requirements

Photos should be in focus and of high quality, in either .jpg or .png format.
Photos must contain only pets – no humans. Any entrant with people in the image will be asked to provide an alternative image or be disqualified from the contest.
Photos should contain only one pet. Any winning entrant with multiple pets in the image will be asked to select a singular pet to be featured on the van and/or apparel.
If photos include pets not owned by the person entering the photo, the entrant must receive written permission from the pet's owner for usage in the contest

Contest Voting

Each entry is $20.
Every $1 donation counts as one vote (minimum of five votes, or $5).
Due to processing costs, a minimum $5 donation is required
Votes are unlimited.
All donations from voting and entries are non-refundable.
Entries and donations must be made via the online contest page.
An email address is required to make an online donation so a receipt with tax information can be sent to the donor. If you would not like to receive HSTPC news and solicitations via email in the future, there is a checkbox that you can un-check at the time of your donation.

Contest Deadlines

The submission period begins on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at 9:00 am (Pacific Time).
The submission period ends on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at 6:00 pm (Pacific Time).
The voting period begins on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at 9:00 am (Pacific Time).
The voting period ends on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at 6:00 pm (Pacific Time).

Contest Winners

Contest winners will be contacted by March 11, 2022 with information on their prizes.
If the potential winners fail to respond to email or phone communications by March 16, 2022, HSTPC may select an alternate potential winner in their place from the next non-winning, eligible top vote-getter.

HSTPC will reach out to winner’s email or phone number provided in the winner’s GoGoPhoto Account

Winning pet must be available for photography session during the last two weeks of March 2022 to be featured on the shelter's transport van or apparel item.

An HSTPC staff member will act as liason between Van Gouchang Photography and the contest winners to schedule the photography session at a mutually agreed upon time.

The Van Wrap installation will be completed in late May 2022, approximately.
The Spring Limited Release Shelter Merch featuring 1^st Place Winner will be available for purchase May 2 – June 9, approximately.
