Pet's Story or Bio
Marshmallow aka Marsha is a pitbull mix we adopted from Tacoma Humane in July of 2019. We were looking for a female to add to our pack after we lost our 12 yr old Labrador, Lucey, that spring. We were a one dog and one cat house. Seemed a bit off although our dog, Hawk, seemed ok being the only child. She came to us as a shy and timid girl. She was struggling with skin and allergy issues. She had just been spayed the day we met. She was exhausted. There was an immediate connection. She was so sweet but you could tell she had not been part of a family. She was reluctant to come inside, anxious when going out the front door and car rides were a bit stressful. Soon she began to blossom into a mischievous meatball. She is a bit of a bubble head but we would have her no other way. She loves tugowar, treats and her new couch privileges. NO WRESTLING ON THE COUCH!!
She eats better than most. Her allergies are a constant battle and require a strict diet. We say she is a bit spoiled but worth it. Marshmallow has not met a person she doesn’t love. She came home to our 10 year old Australian Kelpie who was not fond of our decision. She won him over quickly. We recently adopted a young Australian Kelpie and they are the best of friends.
Marsha asked that this pick be submitted since it looked like a calendar pose. ; )
