Tell us something about your dog and share your rescue story
We adopted Ceilidh (Scottish for celebration, and pronounced kay-lee) on Christmas Eve 2018, nearly a year after our last dog had left us. Ceilidh’s Tails and Trails name was “December,” and she was rescued with her two surviving puppies. When I saw her online photo, it was love at first sight, and how lucky we were to bring this amazing dog into our lives. I have no doubt that we needed her as much as she needed us, and it has been a perfect match. In the 7 months we’ve had her, we have logged dozens of miles of walking, and she has already completed five courses (including agility training, which concluded with her doing a ten-obstacle agility course off-leash with amazing success!). Now she is in Treibball (look it up!). She’s beautiful, smart, goofy, joyful, gentle, and above all, loving and loyal – a perfect dog for whom I’m thankful daily.
