Hi, I’m Cooper, aka “Cooper Da Bear” to those who love me. I’m about 4, I think. I had a rough start, but I’m loving life now. About 2 1/2 years ago a nice person noticed me tethered to a post; wire imbedded in my neck. That person asked my owner if they could take me, luckily they said yes. That yes saved me. I was much thinner then, the wire had to be surgically removed from my neck. You can’t really see the scars, cuz I’ve bulked up since. I was fostered by another nice person for a few months to let my scars heal and evaluate my Shar Pei/Mastiff mannerisms. I’m a big teddy bear, thus my nickname. My family saw my story on a rescue site and knew they wanted me as family. There truly is a Heaven After Hell.
