Tell us something about your dog and share your rescue story
We adopted Milo in the early days of the COVID pandemic after our daughter had to return home from college. Our previous dog, Ruby had died in 2019 and we needed a little time to grieve her. But I felt like Ruby would have been happier with another dog so this time I wanted us to adopt two. After bringing Milo home and getting somewhat acclimated, we asked to meet another dog at Tails and Trails, but when they and Milo met, it was clear that it wasn't a good fit. Then it was suggested we check out a litter of cattle dog-mix puppies rescued from a Kentucky mill and that's how Kona joined our family. She is very smart and very willful! I didn't know much about the breed before we adopted her which is a mistake I would encourage others to avoid!
