Flicka our beloved fluff mutt lived a long 14 years of life and had quite a story of her own. She was only 11 pounds but very much the alpha female over our 95 pound male Boxer (Romeo) & 115 pound Great Dane.
Flicka was not a fan of strangers or other dogs but loved her family fiercely. She jumped out the window of our vehicle while parked at Petsmart and was running scared for 7 days. We put out flyers and live traps knowing she would never approach a stranger. After advice from an HUA trapper to take our dog to look for her and phone calls from strangers, our boxer and I found her early Halloween morning asleep on a cold lawn. Our boxer ran to her, woke her & she realized she was safe. She was thin and matted but survived & lived a long life.
