Kiaya is a 7-year old red heeler and a constant companion that goes everywhere with Craig, a local cattleman. Kaiya is loyal, playful, hardworking, and demonstrates more spirit and love to her owner than any dog Craig has ever owned. A working breed, the red heeler is best known as a herding dog. Together, Kaiya and Craig work in unison to move cattle in ways that cause low-stress for the cattle while promoting sustainable grazing practices and eco-conscious healthy environmental living for the earth. Kaiya’s days are often long, but she is up for whatever task is at hand. Her favorite things are rolling in the pasture grass to scratch her back, tracking something she can’t always find and standing in quiet “watch” as the sun sets while chewing on her favorite bone.
