About Your Pet
Porter is a 16 month old 218lb English mastiff, he is still a baby. He is awesome! I knew from the day I got him he would make a great therapy dog & I was right. He received his therapy certification this month. He loves people, the more the merrier, kids, even toddlers, cats, even our chickens. I owned a mastiff before that passed away at only 5 1/2 yo, heartbreaking! I knew I wanted another but it took me a year to find him and he is worth it! He stands out in a crowd to say the least and everybody wants to see him and pet him. I also have owned many rescue dogs I have two now a Shepard mix & a Yorkie, i to think that rescue is the way to go. You can even rescue a mastiff, I tried, but none in our area at the time. I also have his sister “Amazing Grace” 165lb mastiff we call her Gracie May. They are all great pets, but for therapy, which is what I want to do, he is simply the best!!!

He is loving, sweet, calm, and simply put, he loves people! I think he will and is a great therapy dog because he is so loving! & huge! he’s unusual & stands out, you can’t miss him in a crowd! He has a loving personality as big as his body. From the tiniest person to the biggest he loves them all. Since he loves kids so much, I think he will be great in the R.E.A.D program for schools. But he will be great no matter where he goes. I just love him! I know everyone else will too.
