About Your Pet
Roxy was brought to Wakulla Animal Services after being found abandoned and starving in the National Forest. In spite of what she's been through, a sweet, submissive spirit still shines brightly in her pretty brown eyes. She is a cheerful dog who absolutely adores people, especially children. Giving hugs makes her so happy, and she's quick to offer her belly for tummy rubs every chance she gets. Having a charming under bite and one ear that stands straight up gives this cute Boxer mix a comical expression that is sure to bring a smile to your face! Honestly, to know Roxy is to love her, and that's why it's so hard to believe that this delightful girl is still waiting at the shelter for someone to love her.

Why Your Pet Should Be Named the 2020 Tally Top Pet
As of the day of this submission, Roxy has spent 109 long nights at the animal shelter. Although she is loved dearly by shelter staff, she deserves so much more than what this life has dealt her so far. She represents the 3.3 million dogs in the United States who entered shelters in 2019, and is therefore an ambassador for homeless dogs everywhere. If Roxy were to have the honor of winning this contest, it would bring more awareness to the problem of pet overpopulation and the suffering that can result when people fail to spay and neuter their pets.
