Pangolins are the most heavily trafficked animal in the world! Their scales are used in ancient medicine practices, and they are considered a delicacy in some countries. These adorable, shy little guys are among many endangered mammals that need more awareness and help, before it's too late. In addition to donating to our local animal shelters to protect our loved domestic pets, I encourage all to check out the WWF Adopt a Pangolin program!
The one in this tattoo is inspired by the Indian pangolin (Manis crassicaudata).
