Tattoo Story
Elephants are revered for their emotional intelligence. Their family units and social structures are well known and documented. But right now, entire species of animals are being wiped off the face of the earth. The elephant continues to disappear, mostly as a result of poachers who hunt their tusks for ivory, made into trinkets. These giants, to me, represent a time when the earth was teeming with life. Natural spaces were abundant habitats where all kinds of creatures thrived, and the elephants reigned over their beautiful kingdom.

This tattoo is symbolic of all earth’s creatures, and our responsibility to protect them. My elephant tattoo is adorned with traditional East Asian flowers and henna decorations. It is a reminder that all sentient beings deserve to be respected, protected, and given an opportunity to live.

This responsibility is embodied by the Humane Society, and I am forever grateful for their tireless efforts to help those creatures who are victims of human greed, disappearing habitat, and unnecessary cruelty.
