Pet's Story or Bio
Benny was adopted in Feb. 2019 from Alcovy pet rescue in north Georgia. We were told that he was a hunting dog. They also said he had a occasional seizures. Probably cut his hunting career short. Recently, we started giving him medication for the seizures, which had increased. He no longer has had any seizures. He's a howler and loves to chase all animals. Once he buried a live possum. It was playing possum. Soon afterwards, it left it's burial site. He has cornered a few possums in his time. He is my 9th beagle and has a female companion, Minnie. She was adopted in March of 2021 from TBBR. He loves playing outside with his stuffed toys and burying them occasionally. He knows all the neighbors and makes visits to chicken coops in the neighborhood, but has never hurt one. He's gotten used to the gopher tortoise that lives in our yard. He's also been known to climb a tree as far as he's able to chase a squirrel. He's sweet, lovable, and follows me everywhere.
