Runaway Rose is now living the Regal Beagle life! Rescued at approximately 1year old, she wants all of the little Beagles waiting for adoption to know that the future is bright!

Rose was originally bred to be a hunting dog.

Unfortunately, her short little legs didn’t lend well to that and she was “not responsive” to the cattle prod training methods they used. 🤬

After being given away to a family who decided she was “too much work” she spent six months living in the wild. Scavenging for food. Scars from wild animal attacks.

And then she found me! Jumped right into my car while I was visiting family in GA and would NOT get out. (Knows a sucker for dogs apparently!)

Off to sunny Florida Rose went. 😎

It took months, perhaps years to rehabilitate Rose. She was food aggressive. Deathly afraid of men. Had obviously been kicked a lot bc I still to this day cannot pet her with my foot and that ticking noise from an IPhone camera, forget about it. Sounded too much like the electric charge from a cattle prod.

BUT look at her now! She is living it up in sunny Florida and her haunted past is just a distant memory.
