Say hello to Apollo, our charming German Shepherd who was found as a stray at Shelby Farms. Before arriving at the shelter, Apollo experienced a taste of home life thanks to a kind-hearted finder. During that time, he formed a sweet bond with her child, highlighting his affectionate nature and readiness to be a loving companion. He arrived at the shelter a bit rough around the edges and looking like a skeleton—think of him as the “before” picture in a grooming ad!

Though he was initially a little shy and on guard, Apollo quickly showed us his sweet side. He is good on a leash and enjoys strutting his stuff as if he’s on a catwalk—just without the fancy outfits! And let’s not forget those huge feet; we’re convinced he’s secretly training to be a doggy basketball player!
