Your Pet's Rescue Story
Skylander was rescued from the shelter in Lewisville, TX. He was about 2 year old and malnourished. He came to live with us and joined our pack of 3 Great Pyrenees. Five months after he came to live with us, he started having Grand Mal seizures. The doctors diagnosed it as epilepsy, but could not determine a cause. We tried to control it for the next year with increasing levels of multiple medications. There were times when he would go 3 or 4 months without a seizure. In the end, the seizures were becoming more frequent and he would have several in a row. He was a really great dog when he was seizure free and played well with our other dogs. We really loved him, but we could not overcome the epilepsy that took him away. He is missed and was truly a Great Pyrenees.
