Your Pet's Rescue Story
I got my first Pyr from a breeder. I'd no notion of rescue: like many people, if I thought about rescue at all, I would never have thought it was breed specific, and couldn't have DREAMED so many Pyrs need saving. Juliette was my first rescue, and she had Parvo; that terrifying, humbling monster in the dark for any puppy owner. What she means to me is an introduction to rescue. The idea that someone did not vaccinate this puppy, that someone could KILL this dog is the reason I foster, network, donate, and weep over dogs whom I've never met, but desperately want to save. This silly, loving, beautiful girl changed my life, and through me, has saved the lives of so many others.
