Your Pet's Rescue Story
Tennyson was rescued as a six-week-old puppy from Randolph County Humane Society in October of 2009, just months after we lost our beloved American Eskimo to heart failure. We had never heard of Great Pyrenees, but when we saw his face on Petfinder, we fell in love, learned all we could about the breed, and drove north to adopt him the next day. We were delighted by him at every stage of his life -- from fluffball to mischief-maker to mellow-but-watchful guardian. He was the perfect dog -- loyal, gentle, loving, and protective. We lost Tennyson to bone cancer on August 12, 2016, a month before his eighth birthday. We will love him forever.
