Your Pet's Rescue Story
Riley was our first Pyr. We adopted him from SNIPSA. Found on the streets of SA, He was originally adopted to a family in New York and was transported to meet his new family. Upon his arrival he was lame and it was determined that he had Hypertrophic Osteodystrophy in both his front legs. His new family did not want to pay the vet bills so they sent him back to SA. SNIPSA paid for his surgery and we adopted him in 2016. At 1 year old he was a terror…destroying books, feather pillows and magazines was his favorite past time. We got past the adolescent stage and this caterpillar turned into the most beautiful butterfly. The sweetest boy we could have ever asked for. We lost Riley Christmas of 2020 to bone cancer at only 5 years old. Our love of Pyrs began with him.
