Your Pet's Rescue StoryWhen Bella came into our lives, she was a total brat puppy: diva, naughty, and absolutely perfect. With four cats already, we weren’t planning to adopt another pet. But then came Uruk (formerly Pluto). Lost in the valley, battered, starved, and wary, he walked himself to a shelter. When Christi sent out an email about the coming freeze, we said yes to fostering.
Bella was ecstatic to meet a new friend, bouncing, nipping, climbing all over him. And Uruk? Shocked, but oh so patient. He took on the role of gentle mentor, calmly redirecting her chaos, teaching her boundaries, and enduring all the chewing with grace. He was home.
Now they’re inseparable: a sneaky bite, a playful yelp, a pyr paw “come and play.” They chase, cuddle, wrestle, and nap like they’ve always belonged to each other.
It feels like fate brought them together. And honestly? I think it did.
