Meet Jimmy Van Halen (center), a certified legend. When he was picked up in August 2024, he was covered in ticks, wounded, and in pain—until a first-time foster stepped in, gave him love, care, and a rockstar name that stuck.

When I met Jimmy, I knew he was meant to be part of our family. Now he’s living the good life with his “little big sister,” Luna—bossy, loving, and always ready to throw down.

Together, they rule the yard with daily sandbox wrestling matches and a joint mission to terrorize the local squirrels. Luna may keep Jimmy in line, but she’s also his best friend and protector.

From heartbreak to hijinks, Jimmy’s transformation has been incredible. As his foster put it best: “He’s a heckin’ good boi.” And now, he’s home—living his encore with Luna by his side.
