Your Pet's Rescue Story
Hi my name is Hazel. It used to be Glinda. So sometimes I get confused when my new humans call me. I guess I’m pretty lucky though because i can vaguely remember a time when I didn’t have a name, or a human, or a nice house with a yard. I can remember a time when it was just my sister and I, left to fend for ourselves. Left alone in a fenced in pool covered in fleas and mange. Then something wonderful happened. The folks who are part of Texas Great Pyrenees rescue heard about us and saved us! We took a road trip from some place called Corpus Christi, the home of Selena, to San Antonio. My sister and I were placed in a wonderful foster home with this nice human lady and her family that took care of us and made sure our unbearable itches were treated. She made sure our bellies were full and we even had big brothers and sisters to play with and teach us manners. Then my sister got adopted. I had mixed emotions. I was sad she was leaving but happy she was going to a loving furever family which meant I got more attention from my foster mom and foster siblings! Win-win! One day this other human picked me up for a foster field trip and we had so much fun! I really liked her. I got my first pup cup with her! We visited so many stores and she would constantly stop to take my picture. I didn’t mind though because I’m a big ham and know how to strike the purfect pose! When she dropped me off, she said she would pick me up the next weekend and introduce me to her fur babies. Well guess what? She did what she promised and after 2 additional house visits I heard her and her husband discussing making me a permanent part of their home! I was so excited! So now I am in my furever home with my big brother Moose and my big sister Belle. Moose and I love to run around and play together! He is so much fun! He lets me bite his face and legs and then chases me. We also love playing in the kiddie pool together. My sister Belle is kind of like another mom . She keeps her distance and makes sure I am following the house rules. I like her but she’s kinda bossy. I am so grateful for the all the humans that helped save me. Now I know what it’s like to have a home where I am loved unconditionally and that I have humans I can love back!
