Glimmers signal safety and joy. A glimmer is the opposite of a trigger. Triggers cause dysregulation and feeling overwhelmed. As someone with CPTSD and associated chronic illness including POTS, I seek out glimmers to cope and ease symptoms. Living alone with a chronic illness is a challenge. Bringing my cat Glimmer into my life as an emotional support animal has improved my depression associated with my health conditions. When I used to be stuck at home feeling unwell I was lonely. Now Glimmer talks to me. The joy I receive from this kitty is immeasurable. She is so silly, talkative and snuggly. Despite the pain I may be feeling, I am happy every day with Glimmer.

Glimmer was found dumped in a rural area near Nogales, pregnant with 3 kittens, and rescued by Southern Arizona Cat Rescue.
