Freya is a Viking queen disguised as a house cat: bold, dramatic, deeply suspicious of closed purses, and always prepared to pillage for treasure. Her raids typically uncover cough drops, hair ties, or any small object worthy of being batted triumphantly across the house at unsafe speeds. She rules the downstairs kingdom with absolute authority, despite frequently portraying herself as the innocent victim in wrestling matches with her brother, Floki. At night, Freya demands aggressive pets and ceremonial butt “spankings,” responding with the rumbling growls of a tiny lioness guarding her throne. She is also an unapologetic thief of soft bread and will materialize from nowhere at the scent of fresh biscuits. Her many titles include Pretty Girl, Meatball, Chonky Lady, and simply “Lady,” which everyone understands is less nickname and more rank.
