The day after Christmas 2017 when is was very cold, we arrived home from work and our Lab "Mack" was barking for our attention. We went to his outer kennel and found a tiny kitten huddled under the heat lamp cold, damp and very malnourished. We took everyone in the house. Food, water, warmth and she knew instantly what love was. We asked around but no one was claiming her. One neighbor even mentioned he thought he saw a cat jump out of the trash truck. We took her to the vet a few days later and after spending about $500 decided that Mack, our lab, had adopted a kitten. She is absolutely loving to a fault, purrs constantly, tears up all the toilet paper in the house when we aren't looking, lounges on the kitchen island and is very playful with all 3 of our dogs who have accepted her into the furbaby family. She is named Nicky after St. Nicholas...our 2017 Christmas Miracle.
