Pet personality / Story of adoption / Why is your pet special? We went to our local shelter and asked to be put on a list for when a bulldog breed became available. We were open to either a puppy or a senior dog but since I grew up w/a bulldog as a child (and it was the mascot for my high school) I really wanted a bulldog! It took 8 months, but we eventually got the call and our adopted Osborne is everything we could have imagined.
Today Osborne loves sitting for the camera (and treats) and he has enjoyed modeling a variety of poses for the McCook animal shelter calendar for almost four years now. He is a happy, cheerful, playful, and a strong boy. He is a big bold tough solid muscle of a champ with attitude. But underneath all that bully tough personality exterior he shows you, is a real charmer and sweet heart. We love our Osborne, an irreplaceable member of our family.
This image was contributed by professional animal photographer Cindy Garcia. Her ability to snap moments of dogs, cats, and horses makes it in to calendars in the US and UK each year. Her images have been purchased by large companies for pet greeting cards like Avanti cards. Her contributions have been a part of every McCook Humane Society calendar beginning w/the first shelter calendar in 2012-13. We appreciate her animal shelter commitment to tell cat and dog stories through her images of successful shelter adoptions and rescues.
