Pet personality / Story of adoption / Why is your pet special?RUDY is a typical tabby but not your typical cat. This year he will be over 19 years old and we cannot imagine our home / our life without him here in our home. He has shared every child born, lived through their infant, toddler, tween, and moving out of the house years. He has been a part of each school graduation, three home moves, basically every major life milestone with our family.
His step is a bit slower today and his energy not quite the same as when we rescued him from a barn, but he is still the confident and well behaved Tabby we invited in to our home in 1999. We have a framed picture on the wall of our him proudly watching like a sentinel over our oldest daughter when she was just a year old. The photo is a true classic with Rudy watching over her sleep like a sentinel or an angel.
Despite the myriad of change in our world and with our family, Rudy has managed to stay involved with each change like a trooper. He is a a true survivor and an example of embracing each day and staying positive, because he knows if you are patient and good, there is a catnip treat right around the corner. It is impossible to imagine our home / our family without Rudy.
