Clarice is a typical tabby in many ways but is especially social, warm and a love bug. She likes siting with someone pretty much always. If one of us is reading or watching a movie in a living room or study chair (or couch). In this high seas sailor photo she is showing her modeling pose and comfort with the camera, dressing up and sitting up to show her confidence.

Although this is a summer picture, we actually rescued Clarice during the winter with no clue how she got out on the side of the road alone in the cold during a frigid ice storm. And that holiday year, Clarice was our special gift delivered from Santa Claus to our home.

This image was contributed by professional animal photographer Cindy Garcia. Her ability to snap moments of dogs, cats, and horses makes it in to calendars in the US and UK each year. Her images have been purchased by large companies for pet greeting cards like Avanti cards. Her contributions have been a part of every McCook Humane Society calendar beginning w/the first shelter calendar in 2012-13. We appreciate her animal shelter commitment to tell cat and dog stories through her images of successful shelter adoption and rescue.
