We are a football family. The mood has been somber and disappointing for quite a while in Big Red country & in our home. Bo was a senior cat we found in a shelter five+ years ago and this image is one snapped shortly after we adopted him during what was a difficult to watch 9-4 Husker lackluster football season.

With only a few bright spots that year (...okay we did win a bowl game over the SEC Georgia Bulldogs) Bo was the high point for me. Despite our gridiron woes, our newly adopted Bo brought a great deal of joy, laughs, curiosity, and companionship to the house /family gatherings. He comforted me through the losses and inevitable changes to our usual NU tradition of winning big games & winning more than we lose. At this point there is no where to go but UP. And Bo will be meowing and purring with me when we do!

I highly recommend to others to take a second look at shelter "senior" animals (dogs & cats). Bo is our second senior, and just like our first, he makes it a first class decision for our family, we are good for him but he is good for us too!
