Pet personality / Story of adoption / Why is your pet special?Pepper was adopted from our shelter and kept our beloved grandparents such good company for well over a decade before they passed away.
Pepper barked a lot, he wagged a lot, and jumped up and on you a lot. And you had to watch out for your food because if Pepper can smell it he can get to it. Once it disappears it will be a blur running across the room really fast. Grandpa Bill used to call him "canned lightening." AND he seemed to be always hungry! However when the camera came out he settled down, posed, cute looks in almost in any position as if to say, "I'm a model, where is the runway, how does this look? ...this is what I do best."
This image was contributed in our calendar fundraiser by professional animal photographer Cindy Garcia. Her dog and cat photography has been a part of every McCook Humane Society calendar beginning in 2012-13 and every photo contest beginning six years ago. We cannot thank her enough for supporting our animal shelter and each new cat pack project.
Thank you Aunt Cindy Jo and Millie both for your shelter volunteering!
