Alley is a 'mommy's' girl who follows me wherever I go, around the house, outside, and to bed, if I let her. However, she loves to get on her 'dad's' lap when he is watching tv. Her favorite toys are ones filled with catnip that she can grasp and kick plus, small balls that she will retrieve back to me when thrown.
My husband and I originally went to the McCook Humane Society looking for a companion cat for our aging calico. As we walked past the numerous cages trying to decide which one to choose and having difficulty making a decision, Alley extended her arm out of the cage reaching for the cat in the one above. That was the sign we had been looking for. We were her parental choice! Throughout her life she has been a 'sister' to 4 Shelties and 3 other felines. Now, in her twilight years, she reigns the roost and her canine friend 'Nic", lets her.
