Pet personality / Story of adoption / Why is your pet special?Elsa was 7 months old when she was found after a bad snowstorm. She was a feral cat, trying to survive in freezing temperatures that were below zero. She suffered from frostbite on her ears, tail, and exposed bone on the backs of her legs. A kind man found her and took her to the nearest vet for treatment. There they had to remove her ears and tail. She was so small and undernourished. From there she was placed in an animal shelter in Kearney for adoption. Being feral, she was very scared and shy and not too sure about people. When I visited the shelter and saw her, it was love at first sight...and I knew from the way her eyes lit up, she felt the same way. Now, this small, feral, scared, earless, tailless "bunny bottom" is thriving and enjoying being a house cat to the fullest. She is now playful and cuddly and growing every day, even after all she has been through in her short little life. She is an example of why rescue animals are the best kind of animals. We are truely blessed to have our special kitty, and are commited to give her a forever home.
