I was volunteering at the Humane Society 12 years ago and I couldn't wait to volunteer so I could walk Sophie. She had been at the Humane Society for a long time, I finally decided to bring her home for a trial. I put her in our fenced yard and when I went to get her she had jumped the fence and I found her a block down the street in 3 children's laps. I took her back to the humane society as I didn't know how I would contain her in the yard. The shelter became really full one day when I was volunteering. Sophie kept looking at me. I knew I didn't want to live without her. She came home. We have a 6 ft fence around our yard. She is loved. She rescued us!❤️
