Annie was born in the lilac bushes in our back yard. Her mother, a feral cat from the canyon close to our house, abandoned her when she was about four weeks old. We adopted her and named her Orphan Annie. She was/is like no other cat I have ever had. Although she was easily tamed, her feral instincts were still there!. Her behavior is not typical of a domesticated cat. If she wants something and you just ignore her, you are liable to get a bite on your leg. She has her own ways of communicating! She hunts, but seldom kills her prey (mice, baby rabbits, baby birds). She'd just rather play with them or bring them to me for show and tell. She has given us boundless joy and love, but those wild moments...
