Why is Your Pet "Rescued (or Stray) and Unforgettable"?
Soon after Donna and family lost their beloved dog Grace, they knew they had to find a companion for her sister Sophie. Eight-year-old Sophie had never been an only dog and was grieving. Donna and her husband wanted to adopt a senior dog and scoured websites every day, searching for a dog who might be the right fit for their home. Donna reached out to several rescues without luck until one day while searching online, Donna found Charlie and applied right away.
Three days later, the rescue called Donna and told her Charlie was hers! He was brought in a transport van all the way from Texas, and the moment Donna and Charlie met, it was love at first sight. The perfect fit continued when they arrived back home, and Charlie became fast friends with his new sister Sophie.
Charlie now spends his days snuggled together with Sophie under Donna’s desk. He also enjoys going for walks and trots as fast as possible away from home, in an effort to prolong his time outside. Another pastime of Charlie’s is ripping apart squeaky toys; he refuses to give up the squeaker unless bribed with treats. A new sister, Lyla, was recently introduced into the home and sweet, affectionate Charlie welcomed her with open paws.
The family’s favorite days include watching football, with everyone snuggled together on the sofa. Charlie always pushes his way to be next to the person he loves best: Donna. Donna feels privileged to be chosen by Charlie and is forever grateful for the void he filled in her and her family’s lives.
