Why is Your Pet "Rescued (or Stray) and Unforgettable"?
King is described by his mom Beverley as a big baby and as her own personal superhero. As such, she had to get him a Superman Halloween costume-just one more outfit to add to his wardrobe.
Beverley didn’t know about King’s big personality when she and her wife went to the shelter looking for a new four-legged companion. They had lost their dog, Bruno, about a year prior. Bruno was a quiet guy; when they met King for the first time, they thought he was just the same.
King was the only dog in the shelter not barking, and he didn’t pay any attention to Beverley or her wife. His mysterious ways won them over and they brought King with them to his forever home! They soon discovered that his quiet act was a ruse.
King revealed himself to be a super active dog who demands love, attention, and affection. Although he is an eighty five-pound Boxer-Pit mix, King will jump up on anyone for hugs and kisses. King is also an intelligent fellow who understands commands in both Creole and English. He even knows a bit of sign language!
Beverley calls King an avid chewer and says that nothing can survive his mouth. He’ll have the squeaker out of any toy in less than a minute. King is also well loved by Beverley’s mother, who comes over every day to take him for a walk. Having recently lost her own dog, she cherishes the time spent with him.
Beverley says that she is grateful that they took a chance on King, an amazing dog who’s love language is kisses and cuddles.
