Why is Your Pet "Rescued (or Stray) and Unforgettable"?
A family had a 3-month old miniature Schnoodle, a poodle/schnauzer mix they couldn't keep and planned to take to a shelter. So my son took me to the family to meet her. I instantly fell in love. They agreed to let me give her a forever home.

Prancer was my instant shadow. She followed me everywhere, even waiting outside the bathroom. She slept snuggled with me every night.

Then I was diagnosed with cancer. Prancer stayed next to me, my constant protector, a comforting presence. When I was hospitalized for a bone marrow transplant, I was away for a month. Every day when my husband came home from the hospital, he would find Prancer laying on my folded clothes on the dining room table. She never climbed on a table before or after. She only lay on my clothes, no one else's.

When I returned home, she was careful with me and helped me with my recovery, both physically and emotionally.

Prancer was my precious fur baby. She would be silly to make me laugh. She danced with me and patiently let me play patty cake with her.

Then Prance was diagnosed with mammary cancer. I was devastated. Through Boris & Natasha's Fund at CAS, we were able to get the surgery to give her more than 3 years of quality life.

When she was 15 years old. the cancer returned, it grew rapidly, and her quality of life began to deteriorate quickly. My sweet Prancer crossed the Rainbow Bridge on Saturday August 13, 2022. She smiled at me as I told her it was okay to rest now. I held her and sang to her until the vet told me that she had her angel wings.

Prancer stole my heart.
