Katy is, above all, a survivor. Many people followed her story in the summer of 2018, when someone tortured her with a firecracker. Doctors didn’t know if she’d make it. She has not only made it, she has thrived. If she didn’t have a nub of a tail, no one would know what she’s been through. Katy is very friendly, showing none of the fear of people you might expect after her ordeal. She is a beautiful, 2-year-old long-haired tabby. Katy has one of the prettiest faces I’ve ever seen, complemented by a beautiful, soft coat. She has a couple of tats because I need to brush her more often.

Like most cats, Katy loves to take naps and hide in boxes. She has several favorite spots in my home, chiefly the central air unit. Katy perches there to watch birds and the occasional chipmunk. I have had her for almost a year, and she has brought a lot of light and love to my life.
