Tell us a story about how pet therapy touched your life.
Rosy has been visiting nursing homes, rehab centers, and assisted living centers for 3 1/2 years. She took to therapy work so easily. She instinctively knows who to go to when we enter a room. She walks right up to them and looks them straight in the eyes. We see faces light up and people break out in big smiles and we know we are helping improve their day. She is a natural and no one taught her how to relate to these folks. It is just who she is. It is so rewarding to see the happiness she brings and Rosy seems to love our work as well. It's a win-win win for the patients, Rosy and me.

Give us an example of a special interaction between your therapy animal and the person they were visiting.
Early in our visits to one rehab center, Rosy had a lovely visit with a gentleman in long term care. He talked to her and told her how sweet and she was. After our visit, the lifestyle person told me he hadn't spoken in days. She was amazed how Rosy had brought him out of his shell and hopefully improved his depression.
