Tell us a story about how pet therapy touched your life.
I've been blessed to see both side of the benefits of Pet Therapy by being a nurse.Ive seen patients days turn completely around from discouraged to happy and hopeful .To becoming involved with a team myself and witnessing my own sweet girl spread love,hope and happiness. I first became aware of Pet Therapy while at work having a hectic day and observing Lori Coleman's group come visit in the Nursing home I am employed in .Their visits always made my day better and seeing the interaction between the dogs and my patients ignited a passion in my heart for Pet Therapy.

Give us an example of a special interaction between your therapy animal and the person they were visiting.
I have several stories that stay close to my heart of Tayleis interaction with people that are in need of that special joy a dogs love can bring.From the first few times she was still in the observation phase when I met a lady who was overwhelmed that she became ill and was placed in the Nursing home who shared with me her story that she had to give her own pets up finding comfort while petting Taylei she said several times over ,"Thankyou so much for bringing her in" " To visiting unexpectantly with a patient I personally know who I thought would never be interested in Pet Therapy because she had given up and was refusing meds and care.,while visiting she asked me to bring Taylei to her and it brought a smile to her face I hadn't seen in a long time.She and Taylei have formed a special bond she affectionately calls Taylei her baby and has now made a total of 4 blankets for Taylei because she has started to crochet again.She looks forward to Tayleis visits has become conversational and we even have been blessed to hear her laughter again
