I am a Therapy Animal

Tell us a story about how pet therapy touched your life.
I had back surgery and developed complications that required a second surgery. As a result I had to go stay in a rehab center for several weeks. After a couple of days a wonderful lady knocked on my door and asked if she and her dog could visit. I wanted to cry as her pup was a min pin just like the ones I had at home. I was so blessed to have this beautiful pup come to my room and make me smile and bring some joy to my world that day.

Give us an example of a special interaction between your therapy animal and the person they were visiting.
We love to visit schools and we were blessed to be invited to a school and into a classroom that was primarily kids with autism. The children all came in and sat cross legged on the floor. I set Buddie down and his little nub just started wagging and he walked over to the children and just smiled and wagged his nub. They were all gently petting him with huge smiles on their faces. Brought tears to my eyes for this little dog to bring that much joy to the children.
