I remember one patient that seemed pretty withdrawn from her surroundings. I asked if she wanted to pet Pulse, with no response. Pulse made the first move, he nudged her hand. Her eyes flickered a bit and glanced down. She slowly extended her hand and rested it on his head. He reached out to her and she responded, even if briefly.
