THE SECRET LIFE OF DAWN : THE OLYMPIC FIGURE SKATER
This is Dawn. Yes, I know. You are surprised to see a blue brindle pit bull ice skating in the Olympic rink (and looking so very stylish too!). But this is not an illusion. Since the day I adopted Dawn she took to winter sports like no other dog I know, particularly excelling on the ice. Getting the proper footwear was no easy feat (or is that ‘feet' as in four feet total!?) but once we found the perfect skates it took no time for this silly girl to master such moves as The Loop, The Flip, The Salchow and her famous Triple Lutz. Please note, Dawn performs a "Perfect 10" Triple Lutz. This is impressive indeed since the Triple Lutz is a particularly treacherous jump because it's the only one with a forward takeoff, which adds an extra half turn to the jump. It was this move that landed her in the Olympics. I will admit, Dawn skates beautifully. And this is so shocking really because when I go to let Dawn outside on a snowy, icy cold day, she always runs back inside with her tail tucked. Her secret life is safe with me.
