Just after moving into my first apartment, I took in a sick cat who sadly passed away—my first pet, and my first heartbreak. Not long after, I visited the Toledo Humane Society and met Cleo, an adoptable Spitz with the sweetest eyes. I brought her home that very day, and the rest is history.

Cleo has been my sunshine through grief, my constant through change, and a reminder that love often finds us when we need it most. She didn’t just come into my life—she completely changed it.
