Pet’s rescue story in 500 words or less
Jersey was in a kill shelter in New Jersey. I found him when we lived in Erie Pa, on Petfinders. His previous owners brought him in to the shelters and said they found him as a stray, the shelter posted him in the internet and the neighbor saw him there on the web site and told the owners that he was there at the shelter , they were like oh we no longer want that dog they ( how could they?? Look at that face). So we drove 22 hours round trip with our other two dog to add a third fur baby to our family. Oh did I mention that this was two days after my son got married. Lol we all still laugh at this cuz I just texted my husband and said I just got canceled for the rest of the day at work and I'm off for the next two days so I'm leaving for New Jersey to get that Yorkie . My poor husband was like hummm can you give me two hours to get home so I can go with you? Lol of course!!!!!...Jersey was skinny and had terrible teeth. When we got him into a vets office back home, he had a heart murmur and needed an EKG and Eco of his heart and continued heart medicine. So they knew how to put him under sudation to clean his teeth. Joey no longer has any teeth he got a jaw infection and had to have all his teeth pulled out, and eats soft food now, but it doesn't slow him down. Long story short we have had him for 8 years now and brings us so much joy, love and companionship and yes the middle of the bed! We are so happy to give him the best life ever.
