Pet’s rescue story in 500 words or less
Last April on a really, really hot day, my brother and I were thrown out of a truck, and we were so scared. I was running around in circles crying. A friend called Momma D and she said we could come hang with her while she and Bully Up Rescue searched for my pawrents. My ears were so infected, my skin was inflamed, I had hookworms, I had these lumpy things called tumors on my legs and feet, and I was so heavy I could hardly walk. I huffed and puffed trying to move around. Momma D found out that we had been given away 6 years ago, but my first momma didn’t want us back. But, you know what? That very scary day ended up being the start of my BEST LIFE EVER! Bully Up Rescue made sure that I had the best medical care, lots of stuffies to play with, a cushy extra large bed and anything else I needed. My ears cleared up and my lumpies were removed. With really good food and supplements, my skin quickly calmed down and now my coat shines. Momma D made sure I had the best home cooked food, healthy snacks ( fruit and veggie snack time is my favorite!) walkies, snuggly couch time, lizard chasing and so much love that I smile all the time. When I first started walkies, I would tire out and leave Momma D stranded in the neighborhood. She got smart and bought a Bo Bo throne on wheels so we could get home. Now, I out walk her! I have lost around 25 pounds and now do crazy zoomies around Momma D’s yard. I love everyone I meet whether big or small, and get super excited to meet other doggies. I live to snuggle in Momma D’s lap every evening. Yeah … I am pretty perfect. I don’t know why we were thrown out like trash, but Momma D calls me her special treasure. She even said she was ‘dopting me (and my brother) whatever that means. I just know that life is pretty amazing now that I am loved beyond measure!
