A little about me...
He was one of 35 dogs rescued from a heartbreaking hoarding situation — frail, silent, and in critical condition. When he came through the shelter doors, he was nearly hairless from infected skin, weighed just 3.8 pounds, had painful, swollen feet, and suffered from severe glaucoma in both eyes. He was in misery.

But from that very first moment, one shelter employee saw past the pain and chose him. She adopted him the same day he arrived, knowing the road ahead would be long — but worth it.

Under her care, he began the slow journey toward healing. He received daily medications, medicated baths, nutritious meals, and above all, constant love. Eventually, to relieve his suffering, both of his eyes had to be removed. It was a tough choice, but one that finally gave him comfort and rest.

Once free from pain, his transformation began. His fur started to grow back. His infections cleared. His fragile body grew stronger, and he gained weight — now a healthy 10 pounds. He learned to trust, explore, and enjoy life again, even without sight.

Today, he’s thriving: joyful, secure, and deeply bonded with the person who never gave up on him.

His story is a powerful reminder of the resilience of animals and the incredible difference that love, patience, and compassion can make — especially when they begin on day one.

He didn’t just get a second chance — he got the life he always deserved.
