Rules

Contest Entry

Contest entry fee is $5.00. Each entry is limited to one photo.
You may submit as many entries as you like, however only one entry per animal will be permitted in the calendar.
Only dogs and cats adopted from a rescue or shelter are eligible and may be submitted as an entry. No birds, rabbits, reptiles, farm animals, exotic pets or any other species are eligible for entry. Dogs or cats acquired from a breeder, pet store, or an individual or business that is not a 501c3 rescue or municipal shelter are not eligible and may not be submitted for entry.
Once entered, all photos become the property of Tulsa SPCA and may be used for print and marketing purposes.
Tulsa SPCA reserves the right to disqualify an entry based on objectionable content or depiction of the animal or persons in a photo. If an entry is disqualified, donations collected will be refunded if requested by the donor.

Photo Requirements/Rules

Photos must be high-quality, taken at maximum resolution, 300 DPI, minimum file size of 4mb (megabytes) in size and in a generally accepted file format.
Photos submitted for the calendar must include at least one animal, who should be present in no less than 2/3 of the frame. Horizontal (landscape) orientation is required.
Please ensure that the photo is sharp and in focus with a clean background.
Submitted photos cannot contain a person. Animals only.
All entries must be in color.
If your entry was taken by a commercial studio, please include a signed copyright release from the photographer with your entry.
If you are selected as a winner and print-quality photos are not provided by the deadline given at that time, Tulsa SPCA will offer the spot in the calendar to the next runner up.

Contest Voting

Each dollar donated to a pet's photo represents one vote.
All donations over $10 will receive a tax receipt.
All donations to the photo contest are final.
An email or home address is required to make an online donation so a receipt with tax information can be sent to the donor.

Contest Deadlines

Online entries and voting begins at 12:00 AM (Central Time) on Thursday, August 28, 2025
Voting ends at 8:00 PM (Central Time) on Thursday, September 25, 2025

Contest Winners

Contest winners may be asked to re-submit their photo to Tulsa SPCA as a high resolution, print quality image if needed.
Winners will be notified by October 1, 2025.

Additional Contest Rules

By entering the contest, you acknowledge and give permission to the Tulsa SPCA to use the name, story, and photo of the animal entered for future publications and materials, including - but not limited to - the 2026 Tulsa SPCA Calendar.
